Surveying Equipment

CT Surveys is equipped with modern total stations (Robotic TCRP1205's) for recording field observations and downloading to a computer. Being robotic they can be used as one man equipment which can save money for our clients. The robotic facility is also very fast and is excellent for setting out surveys.
The Leica instuments have a reflector-less laser that is capable of capturing data beyond the survey boundary, and is used to produce accurate measured elevations of buildings.
We have the latest GPS 1200 GNSS System which uses both GPS & GLONASS satellites for high accuracy measurements and fast satellite acquisition.
We use the GPS RTK SmartRover for topographic surveys, setting out, survey control and levels for flood risk assessments. The Environment Agency stipulate that all surveys in an area at risk of flooding must be carried out by GPS.
The site observations are processed using LSS (Land Survey Software) and a full 3d model is produced. LSS can then output the drawing to suit most computer aided design. www.mccarthytaylor.com
In 2006 we invested into the laser scanning market. We have a Leica High Definition 3D Laser Scanner. This enables us to produce building elevations with an exceptionally high level of detail in a fraction of the time it would take using traditional methods. Laser scanning is becomming more popular as our clients now understand the high level of detail the scan collects. We have won many projects by having the advantage of laser scanning equipment over some of our competitors.
Considerable capital has been invested into CT Surveys to provide reliable accurate equipment ensuring clients receive a first-class, competitive service that will be hard to ignore.
