GPS Surveys
For GPS Surveys we have the latest GPS1200 GNSS System which uses both GPS & GLONASS satellites for high accuracy measurements and fast satellite acquisition.
We use the RTK SmartRover for topographic surveys, flood surveys, setting out and Survey Control.
Surveys for the Environment Agency or any survey required for flooding purposes must be carried out using GPS control for level datum. But it has also become the easiest and quickest way to level any site to Ordnance Survey and also provides you with the OS Grid coordinates.
Flood Surveys
Using the data collected in the GPS survey we then use LSS (Land Survey Software) to draw the site plan.
Using the 3D model data LSS can create a 3D visualisation showing how the land would flood at any given height.
We can arrange Flood Risk Assessments and part of the assessment usually requires a GPS survey as part of the report.
